Sustainable water management solutions for the Mediterranean tourism sector

In order to help hotels to remain competitive and improve their eco-innovation ability, the European Horizon 2020 GREENinMED project developed an innovative approach to develop solutions for water and energy use and management in the Mediterranean region and more specifically for the tourism sector.

To reach this objective for the water management part, LGI helped the project partner CapEnergies to identify and analyse relevant eco-innovative products and services, as well as their adaptability to specific needs for selected hotels.This enabled the GREENinMED project to target eco-innovative solutions for better water management and reduced water consumption in the tourism sector of the region.

• Benchmark of actors to organize an international conference with 63 service providers of innovative water management solutions, 60 hotels in the French Mediterranean region interested in water solutions implementation, 80 technologies with a focus on water, and 20 actors of the ecosystem (incubators, labs, networks…)
• Contribution to the writing of the prospective call to short innovative small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) developing water solutions for the hotel market
