LEARN MORE ABOUT THE STORY BEHIND OUR NAME, OUR PURPOSE AND HOW WE HAVE EVOLVED OVER THE YEARS.
It all began with a dream of living an entrepreneurial adventure while working to create solutions for climate and low-carbon energy challenges.
Vincent Chauvet co-founds LGI with Jean-Sébastien Gérard in an apartment in Paris on Rue de la Grange aux Belles, the inspiration for the original name of the company, La Grange Innovation.
The small company grows and takes on its first EU-funded project. La Grange Innovation officially becomes LGI Consulting.
The first employee is hired – the cofounders grow to become a team of three.
LGI moves to its first office. Vincent becomes the sole associate when Jean-Sébastien moves to Seattle to pursue his own endeavours in the digital sphere. Bastien Duplantier, the current COO, joins the company.
LGI grows to a team of 10 and moves to a new office.
LGI Consulting becomes LGI Sustainable Innovation, adding a whole level of value to the work done by the team of now 20 experts.
LGI hires its 30th employee and officially becomes a mission-driven enterprise under French law, a statutory evolution that reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable innovation as a vector of solutions to global climate, environmental and societal challenges.
The team grows to 40 as it works to bring sustainable innovation to life through conversations with stakeholders, partnerships in European projects and efforts to position itself as a leading player. The new web identity is out: lgi.earth replaces the antiquated lgi-consulting.com.
