MOLOC

Support to the city of Lille for a low-carbon strategy (MOLOC project)

European cities are at the forefront of climate action, as hubs for innovative initiatives to transition away from greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants. The urban morphology, shaped by construction and historical context, is being adapted by municipalities to address the modern challenges of climate neutrality and sustainability.

Lille has launched several successful initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint. Under the INTERREG-funded MOLOC project, Lille focused on creating and testing innovative decarbonisation pathways. This involved a structured programme that included a comparative analysis, and the development, implementation and monitoring  of local action plans.

LGI was brought in to support a 360° analysis and engage local stakeholders.
