Hub'Cycle

Veolia initiated the creation of a marketplace for recycled plastics, named Hub'Cycle. In 2019, a needs analysis, stakeholder mapping, initial user exchanges, and prototype development were completed.

The next steps involved onboarding a substantial group of pilot users to populate the marketplace at launch. Users span the entire plastic recycling value chain: waste holders > plastic recyclers > plastic converters > manufacturers. Participants in the marketplace can act as either sellers or buyers of materials.

The project initially focused on 5 European countries.

• Supporting the onboarding of early adopters by interviewing 100 potential users in 5 countries
• Supporting the establishment of institutional and professional partnerships (national and regional agencies, professional federations)
• Support for operational marketing & communication actions around the launch of the marketplace
• Commercial strategy (internationalisation, white label option, opportunity / feasibility of commercial partnerships)
