SOILL

SOILL startup - startup of the support structure for soil living labs

The EU Mission "A Soil Deal for Europe" aims to accelerate the transition to healthy soils by 2030 through the establishment of 100 Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses (SHLL/LHs) that will drive the development and adoption of solutions. The SOILL Partnership, led by ENoLL, has been created to coordinate, support, expand, and promote the network of 100 SHLL/LHs.
The SOILL-Startup project launched the "SOILL one-stop shop": 1) high-quality structure for SHLL/LHs with clear processes and a web-based hub to facilitate outreach, collaboration and monitoring 2) comprehensive support to SHLL/LHs including capacity-building through training and tools 3) Supporting network expansion by engagement, matchmaking, advice, events, and webinars 4) knowledge exchange, collaboration, and synergies

OUR ROLE

- LGI leads the Work Package focusing on digital collaboration tools for the European soil health community: spearheading the development and launch of an innovative collaborative hub specifically designed for European Soil Health Living Labs. This one-stop-shop digital platform serves as a cornerstone for knowledge sharing and community building, allowing Living Labs to manage their reporting requirements while accessing comprehensive resources and best practices.

- LGI's communication unit plays an instrumental role in supporting the project's communication strategy, by creating engaging materials to raise awareness about soil health initiatives. LGI thus contributes significantly to the project's overall visibility and impact in the European soil health landscape.
